And the emphasis is on informal - for example, we don't do silver service or serve meals to tables, as all of our menu is designed to be served buffet-style. What we do offer is a beautiful riverside location, high quality food and drinks at reasonable prices, as well as excellent customer service.
We offer exclusive hire of Beese's for wedding receptions on Thursdays. On Saturdays, when we are open to the general public, our two marquees and covered riverside decking offer the perfect setting for celebrations.
All bookings are subject to the Beese's terms and conditions.
Our two marquees offer a total indoor capacity of 100 for seated eating. The covered riverside deck allows for extra guests to be invited in the evening. On Thursdays, when the entire venue is for your exclusive use, there is further flexibility for seated dining. Our normal closing time is 11:00pm, but this can be extended to midnight upon request (minimum of two weeks notice required).
The hire fees include the following services:
- Use of all furniture in hire areas
- Cutlery, crockery and tableware
- Use of your own mp3 through the marquee PA (for background music only)
- Liaison with your band/DJ
Our main marquee is 9m x 9m, and it is possible to fit up to twelve tables inside, each seating up to eight people. Our smaller marquee is 6m x 6m and is ideal for serving food and welcome drinks. The marquees are in good condition, but not lined (linings can be hired for SW Marquees). We have power and lighting that can be used for bands and DJs. We only provide functional lighting in the marquees, so you might want to add your own, (or hire them from SW Marquees) in order to create more atmosphere.
Please note that due to the limited length of our season, events booked on Saturdays must have a minimum of 80 guests attending.
In order to confirm a booking, we ask for full payment of the hire fees (this is a non-refundable deposit). The balance of costs (food, wine, etc.) must be paid at least ten working days before the event. You can confirm final numbers, menu options and any special dietary requirements at the same time.
